This symposium is the first of its kind in Kenya and will bring together over 200 delegates from the medical profession. It be focused on demystifying emergency care and providing the latest in evidence-based emergency care practices.
The target audience includes doctors, clinical officers, nurses, and EMTs.
The sponsor, the Emergency Medicine Kenya Foundation (EMKF), is a non-profit organisation founded in January 2015 dedicated to the development of emergency care in Kenya (and other resource-limited settings) through education and research. EMKF has ran several successful initiatives in Kenya including; development of emergency care guidelines (www.emergencymedicinekenya.org/algorithms ) and provision of emergency care equipment to facilities across the country (http://www.emergencymedicinekenya.org/projects/).
