Physician 2030: The future is around the corner – be prepared conference

World Medical Association and Israeli Medical Association 0rganized Physician 2030: The future is around the corner – be prepared conference which took place on 13th to 15th 2019 in Tel Aviv, Israel. The attendees took a preview of medicine and healthcare in times, of artificial intelligence, big data and commercialization. In attendance was prof. Zion Hagay, chairman of Israeli medical association(IMA), Prof. Leonid Eidelman, president of World medical association(WMA), Dr. Otmar Kloiber, secretary general WMA, Dr. Jacqueline kitulu, President KMA, Dr. Lukoye Atwoli, vice President KMA, Dr. David Barbe, President American medical association (AMA), among others.

The leaders talked about how physicians are being replaced by artificial intelligence which is very scary. “ This conference is to prepare for the development of our professionalism .our goal is to best serve our patients and communities” Dr.Otmar Kloiber. Professor Ran Balicer, director clalit research institute talked about health system: validity of models and predictors. She said physicians have to lead them in ensuring that it is done in a safe way and maintain ethics of the profession. She said that doctors would not be replaced by algorithms but those health systems that do not use artificial intelligence will be replaced by those that do. Dr. Jacqueline kitulu talked about shortage of physicians compared to the number of communities depending on them. “when it comes to the workplace of the future, one of the elements to focus on is doctors wellness.”
